“I like to use the word ‘syzygy’ when describing my art. In Astronomy, a syzygy is the alignment of three celestial objects. An honest piece of artwork is born when my passions are in balance with one another. The word also refers to the joining of two entities without losing the characteristics of either one. My interests are overlapping spheres, at once distinct and integral to each another.”
Melissa lives with her husband Peter and their two children, Eilís and Lochlan in Bailieboro, Ontario, Canada.
